History
Borgo San Jacopo takes its name from the ancient church of San Jacopo Soprarno dating from the twelfth century. The small cupola, designed by Brunelleschi is thought to have been the model on which the cupola of the main Cathedral was based.
How to get to us by car
From the A-1 highway take the Firenze Sud, V.le Europa exit, drive straight through Viale Europa and Viale Giannotti until the last traffic roundabout where you turn on Yr. right in Via Adriani and at the end of the street make left in Via Villamagna. At the end of Via Villamagna keep straight along the river on Yr. right hand until when you arrive to Ponte Vecchio. In case You meet the City Police pls tell them that you have a reservation at Ponte Vecchio Suites and that You will park Yr. car at the Garage Lungarno, in this way you will be authorized to enter the pedestrian area. You will have now in front of you Borgo San Jacopo, enter it and drive for about 50 meters, on Yr right you will see the Garage Lungarno where to park Yr. car and on Yr. left there is a small street, via de Belfredelli where the Ponte Vecchio Suites & Spa is located.
